First Bathroom Of 2025

Walker Bathrooms Completes First Bathroom of 2025: An Elderly-Friendly Bathroom Adaptation in Chester

At Walker Bathrooms, we’re proud to start the year by transforming lives with our very first project of 2025 – a bespoke elderly bathroom adaptation in Chester. This thoughtful design prioritises safety, accessibility, and comfort, ensuring our clients can enjoy a functional and stylish bathroom tailored to their needs.

Meeting the Client’s Needs

Our client, an elderly homeowner in Chester, required a bathroom that offered full accessibility while maintaining a modern and welcoming aesthetic. The focus was on creating a space that could accommodate mobility challenges without compromising on style or usability. After an initial consultation, we designed a solution that combined practicality, safety, and elegance.

Key Features of the Adapted Bathroom

1. Accessible Walk-In Shower with Seating
The centrepiece of this adaptation is the spacious walk-in shower, designed for effortless access. Equipped with a sturdy foldable seat, the shower allows for safe and comfortable use. The non-slip flooring ensures added safety, while the stylish chrome grab rails provide essential support.
2. Custom Fixtures for Ease of Use
We installed ergonomic fixtures, including a thermostatic shower control with an easy-to-use dial, ensuring the client could adjust the temperature with minimal effort.
3. Wide Entry and Open Layout
The bathroom features a widened doorway and a cleverly planned layout, allowing for smooth navigation with or without mobility aids.
4. Comfort and Style
While functionality was the priority, we ensured the bathroom maintained a warm and modern look. Neutral tones, soft LED lighting, and sleek tiling create a welcoming and relaxing atmosphere.
